Get a passport first, before anything else. Bangladesh test centers accept the passport as the only form of identification — no other ID is admitted — and passport issuance itself takes weeks. If you live outside Dhaka or Chittagong, budget for travel and an overnight stay. There are no identified centers in Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur or Barisal, so a test day for most of the country means a journey — build that cost and the fatigue into your planning.
Plan TOEFL, IELTS or the Duolingo English Test alongside the SAT, and note the budget impact: TOEFL iBT is currently $215, roughly double the SAT. If you attended an English-medium O/A-Level or IB school you may qualify for a waiver at some universities — Bangladesh's large English-medium sector makes this more common here than in many markets — but it is a per-university policy, so check each school.
